Unlimited Music Downloads – A Better Alternative To P2p Sites By Davion W
Any music fan knows that unlimited music downloads available on the Internet come in different forms. There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of websites competing in the lucrative industry. And while these sites differ, offering various music libraries, software, customer service and payment schemes, they all can be divided into a few categories.
Without doubt, torrent websites with unlimited music downloads available free of cost are still the most popular choice. The idea of getting free stuff, even knowing that it is illegal and risky, tempts a lot of people. In spite of RIAA, catching too enthusiastic file sharers, new users choose to step in the same shoes and make the same mistakes.
No matter how convincing the site sounds in its promises to guarantee your safety, in reality no file sharing activity is safe. They can assure their download program is encrypted, your IP address may be masked, and you can even install some of such programs like ProtoWall, PeerGuardian or SafePeer, but your illegal activity on the Web can still be traced quite easily, and you yourself, too.
Unlimited music downloads from P2P sites can also damage your computer and even hack your ID! Can you be sure each file you are downloading contains only music and nothing else? Not exactly. Because it could be infected with a virus, adware or spyware hard to detect even for an up-to-date anti-virus program. You computer stores tons of very private and sensitive data, that can easily be misused. The consequences can be devastating.

quality of music files really worth it? Your wish to save money is quite understandable, though. And you still can do it, while getting unlimited music downloads of perfect quality and absolutely legally.
A wonderful alternative comes in the form of membership sites, offering unlimited music downloads at a very low fee. You may have a few options: to subscribe monthly or yearly, or pay once to get a lifetime membership and access to the huge music database. Note that yearly subscription is normally just a few bucks cheaper than a lifetime access, and in most cases the highest price doesn’t exceed $50!
Clearly, it is a fantastic offer, since you can relax and download as much as you want without the fear of being caught or expose your security. Look around and assess your options: P2P sites have a way better alternative when it comes to unlimited music downloads.

The weather patterns on the east coast for November were very cold and wet. We arrived at Gulgong on Sunday and were told that it had sleeted the day before. It was very cold and windy on Sunday and the day was canned.
Friday we had 35mm of rain in one downpour, with more overnight. The strip was too wet to use, so even though Saturday may have been able to have a task, we could not launch.
Patrick dicing with Huey (Ozzie god of the weather), there were lightning bolts belting the next paddock over while he was out on the strip. His wife was watching and was quite concerned for his safety.
I'm away in Tamworth for work this week, and it flooded here (and Manilla etc) last weekend, so there's rubbish all over beside the road.
I do not know the official status of the drought. Around Tamworth it has being raining for quite a while and the area is very green, the greenest I have seen it in over twenty years. The Hunter Valley is also green, but not much river flow. Keepit dam is still very low, but should be getting a bit in now, the Hunter dams are pretty full since we've had 2 years of rain.
Out West, even around Gulgong, it is still pretty dry. I think the farmers were happy with the rain there last week.
South Australia could well be still in drought, but I do not know
Parma did burn as well as the Monastery and a bunch of houses in the area. Many people had to get out quick and lost many years of memories including their house in the fire. The fire was started by ten city college students when they had a bonfire at the tea gardens which is a reservoir in the mountains. I guess the students left without totally putting the fire out and when the Sundowner winds came the next day it stoked the fire and embers ignited brush etc. Many people want to know the names of the students but they haven't been released.
Here's some shots Robb Sporrer took while flying to the Parma landing area.
Michael Williams has suggested dropping the competition points system, the National Team Selection System (NTSS) altogether, and just using the well regarded and well maintained WPRS system. You can find the latest version here. He suggests that we use it for determining the National Champion also. Here is the top end of the latest results.
Yesterday I provided alternative proposals to the USHPA Competition Workgroup proposal for a new USHPA Competition Rulebook with the addition of a manual. So far all the discussion (other than some that is found here in the Oz Report) has centered around the documents, but these documents will not actually do much to advance the goals (as vaguely defined as they are) of the Competition Workgroup or the USHPA 2005 Strategic plan.
The documents (mine included) are really weak reeds when it comes to the goals of increasing the numbers of competitions and the number of competitors. The Workgroup has no particular reason to think that the changes that they have made to the documents will produce the changes that they hope for.
It's going to take a much difference approach. I have provided suggestions here, here and here.
Discuss Adopting documents is not going to meet our goals at the Oz Report forumlink»
It seems that one of the cornerstones of the plan to
restructure our competition system is the notion that competition is
declining in the US and that our current system is largely to blame
(i.e., if it is not largely to blame then why change the system?).
Since this premise is the basis for such a radical change we should
explore this.
I think if you were to ask anyone who has been around a
while, they may tell you that there has been a decline in competition,
but that is subjective. Something a little more quantitative is
necessary. The chart showing the decline in the number of sanctioned
competitions, by itself, does not prove a decline in competition.
First, we should ask the question: has the overall amount of
competition declined disproportionately more than the overall decline of
the sport of HG? Second, this chart only proves that there has been
a decline in the number of sanctioned events not necessarily a decline
in number of pilots participating in competition. In order for that
chart to be meaningful we would need to know the number of participants
in each event.
Lets assume for a moment that when we look at the number
of participants in each event, that there was an overall decline in
participation at sanctioned events. This, in no way, tells us
if there has been a decline in participation in competition; it only
shows that there has been a decline in participation in sanctioned
events. This begs the question: How much competing is going on out
there in local, regional, club and league events? We may find that
there is no decline in participation at all.
But lets assume for a moment that there is a decline in
participation in competition. Before we attempt to fix the problem it
would seem to me we would first need to know the cause of the decline.
As it turns out, the factors for the decline may have nothing to do
with the current competition system and changing the system would have
no effect.
So going back to the chart, what possible reasons are
there for a decline in the number of sanctioned comps? Here is
are some possible factors.
Overall decline of membership
Consolidation (fewer meets but greater attendance at
individual events)
Proliferation of unsanctioned events
Lack of need for sanctioning
Sanctioning is to burdensome
Loss of competition sites
Increased liability concerns
Organizer burn out with no system to mentor replacements
Competing vehicles for competition (on-line contest)
Change of pilot demographic
Average age of pilots is going up (changing
priorities)
Pilots coming into the sport are less competitive by
nature
Pilots coming into the sport and
current membership are becoming more risk adverse
Clearly this is a partial list but it is essential that we
(1) determine if we, in fact, have a decline in competition
participation and (2) objectively quantify the causes before we
make wholesale changes to a system that may not be broken at all.
