Mtv Style Cooking Show "cooking With Egg" Sweeps Classrooms Throughout The World (ContentDesk) September 10, 2005 -- with Egg, an MTV style show, has just released "Breakfast Eggstravaganza". Your Host "Egg" will bring contemporary lessons to schools internationally. "CWE" will be distributed through the Learning Seed Company out of Chicago."Cooking with Egg" is the only show dedicated to teaching young people how to make great food with very little time, money and space. The show is named after the host and creator Erik Berlin, but his friends call him "Egg". "Egg" is a 25-year-old graduate from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, school of hotel/restaurant management. Frustrated at the way young people and college students rely on fast food and dining hall convenience for their nutritional needs, he set out to create an environment in which food preparation was easy, fun, and inexpensive. "Cooking with Egg" made its debut on Salisbury Cable Access 26 in Salisbury Maryland in 2001 to rave reviews. "Egg" seeks
to fill a void that is lacking on channels such as the Food Network and MTV. Shot in a music video style, "Cooking with Egg" mixes easy and creative techniques with "Egg's" unique sense of humor and music from Baltimore's hottest bands. "Egg" hopes that "Cooking with Egg" will be a vehicle for further projects, including his own program on the Food Network, a college campus lecture tour, and a merchandising campaign focused on quality materials, including chef jackets, hats, and aprons, as well as knife and cookery sets."Cooking with Egg," appeals to the MTV Generation by relying on humor, music, and creative editing techniques. However, at the core of the program are real skills and practical information that is beneficial to people of all ages. While being entertained, viewers are learning to prepare nutritious, homemade meals with limited resources. Now available as an educational resource through the Learning Seed Company.
