1st arrondissement:
Geographically, in the middle of the city, you will be surrounded with great sightseeings; The Louvre museum, where you can find the masterwork of Da Vinci: the Mona Lisa, The Palais Royal, Les Halles and the Tuileries Garden. This arrondissement is well known for its business. You will also find a piece of culture at the National Library, also known as Bibliothèque Nationale. Together with the 8th and 9th disctrict, this part of the city is being concidered as the business centre of the town.
3rd arrondissement:
The 3rd and 4th arrondissement are know as the Temple-Marais. Here, with its narrow streets, you will find the Renaissance square Place des Vosges, where the population enjoys the Parisian life. This part, which used to be a medieval neighbourhood, is now well known for being one of the most trendy and funky places in Paris.
4th arrondissement:
Also this part at Hotel-de-Ville is being considered as the Marais. Eventhough it is a very nice place to visit during the day, the evenings are more crowded; here you will find most of the trendy bars, stores, restaurants and fun places to go out. You will also notice the present culture, like the old Rue des Rosiers, the Jewish part of Paris, Ile St. Louis and Ile de la Cité.
5th arrondissement:
This very interesting part is called Quartier Latin (Latin Quarter). It is like a little village. Most of the people are students, hip professionals and excited tourists. There are various art galeries, international cuisine restaurants, student cafés, and typical French cafés. On the Rue Mouffetard you will find spectaculair art shops. This arrondissement is very central and one of the oldest of the city.
6th arrondissement:
The arrondissement of the central and fancy quarter St-Germain-des-Prés. This is the place to be for intellectuals who like art galeries, book stores, small clothing boutiques and cuisine restaurants. The Luxembourg Gardens are situated here as well.
